For healthy dogs


For the last two decades, we've been focused on helping people with dog nutrition and behavior. We'd love to talk with you about your dog, and any questions or delights she may have presented you with. In the meantime, we've put together some information that may be helpful.

Dogs Need to Chew

Besides being fun, chewing helps puppies and dogs keep their teeth and gums healthy. Safe chews and toys can keep plaque from building up on the teeth and prevent bad breath. Chewing also alleviates boredom, loneliness and stress, and regular access to chew toys and treats can keep dogs from destroying shoes, furniture and other inappropriate objects.

Zoey's sensitive tummy

We went to our local Mud Bay to see if we could find her a yummy, balanced diet that was gentle on her tummy. The staff helped us pick out a few foods to try that would be easy on her, and that she would like. We selected Avoderm Oven Baked Chicken dry kibble, as it seems to be a more easily digestible dry food, and California Natural Chicken canned food, which also seems to be easily digestible. We give both dogs some variety by adding different Natural Balance cans every once in a while. It was also suggested that we feed her dinner earlier in the evening so she has a chance to digest things more fully (and do all the business she needs) before bedtime, which may have helped the most.
